LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Lee County Clerk of Courts is offering a program called "Operation Green Light" to help people reinstate their driver's licenses.

The virtual event is part of a statewide initiative designed to help drivers get back on the road.

In Lee County, the event will be held:

  • November 9-19, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • November. 20th, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • November 21st, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

To participate, customers can connect via TeleClerkvideo conference or call 239-533-5000 to pay by credit card.

Customers who wish to pay in cash or by check at the Justice Center must schedule an appointment.

If customers cannot pay in full during the event, they can still benefit from the substantial savings by signing up for a payment plan. Once all court fees and traffic tickets are paid in full, customers may be eligible to reinstate their driver licenses.

Additional fees may be required by the Tax Collector's office to reinstate a driver's license.

Customers who pay in person are required to undergo CDC-recommended health screenings. Temperatures are checked at security checkpoints, face coverings are required while inside the building, and social distancing is enforced.
