FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A major drug bust in Lee County has led to over $1 million being recovered during a search warrant, investigators announced Thursday.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, an investigation was launched over the weekend following a fatal drug overdose.

That investigation led authorities to the home of 53-year-old Landrus Powell.  A warranted search of his home Wednesday uncovered the large amount of cash, several guns, numerous narcotics including heroin, cocaine, and Oxycodone, and two vehicles used in the crimes.

Powell was taken into custody at the home and charged with ten drug possession charges. He's being held on $46,000 bond.
