Pair charged with Grand Theft Auto in Collier County

NAPLES, Fla. -- Two people are accused of stealing a car and trying to break into other vehicles in Collier County.

Deputies arrested 22-year-old Cedric Robinson and 19-year-old Sophie Racine Tuesday morning.

According to witnesses, the pair was pulling on car door handles in a parking lot on Rattlesnake Hammock Road at Charlemagne Boulevard.

When deputies arrived, they say the suspects took off running, but were later found.

Deputies also say Robinson and Racine were driving a stolen SUV.

They are now charged with grand theft auto, burglary, resisting arrest, and loitering and prowling.
