FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Community members of Fort Myers gathered Saturday at Clemente Park to honor the one year anniversary of the Fort Myers-Lee County chapter of Parents of Murdered Children, Inc.
Angela McClary co-founded this organization one year ago on July 25th, after she lost her 33-year-old son, Deonte Redding, in 2014.
"This is just the beginning," McClary said about her organization.
See His Face ministry of Fort Myers also joined in lunch, music, games and donations.
McClary says that being a big part of Parents of Murdered Children, Inc. is a good distraction from wishing her son was still with her.
She and other members of the board work hard to make a difference in the city and put an end to the murders in this area.
