ARCADIA, Fla., - 4 In Your Corner has learned the probation officer caught on camera yelling racial slurs to an Arcadia man will be out of a job.

Tracy Keen was an off-duty probation officer with DeSoto County in October when the video surfaced showing the heated exchange.

In an email, the Florida Department of Corrections told 4 In Your Corner, “We are moving towards termination,” when  asked about Keen’s current job status Wednesday.

The man who shot the 15 second clip told 4 In Your Corner Keen approached his dad while he was working for FEMA to clean up debris at the time. He claims the heated exchange started because their trucks were blocking the road.

“We were just trying to clean up her street, it’s completely demoralizing,” he said.

When 4 In Your Corner first reached out to the State, they called Keen’s actions ‘distasteful and uncalled for’ and denounced her behavior.

Keen could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
