FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Troopers have confirmed that a pedestrian was fatally struck on San Carlos Boulevard early Thursday morning near Summerlin Road.
The crash had caused the closure of San Carlos Boulevard heading towards Fort Myers Beach, but all lanes are open again.
Lee County Sheriff's deputies were on scene to help with traffic control while Florida Highway Patrol was investigating.
No word yet on how exactly the crash happened.
