LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- You can meet and mingle with other pet owners in a post 4th of July celebration, all while helping shelter animals.
The Gulf Coast Humane Society and Old Soul Brewing in Fort Myers are teaming up for Hops and Hounds. It'll be on Saturday, July 7, at the brewery from 4 to 6 p.m.
The free event will feature raffles and the shelter will bring adoptable dogs. If you take a pet home, you'll also score a free growler. Hops and Hounds is on the first Saturday of every month.
Our pet of the week is Bella, a 3 year old Lab mix. She's sweet, calm and waiting for her forever home. Mack, last week's pet of the week, found his forever home a few days after he was featured on Fox 4.
If you'd like to help the Gulf Coast Humane Society, they say they're always in need of donations. They're looking for used linens, blankets and towels after a big influx of puppies.
