LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- The Gulf Coast Humane Society is preparing for one of their biggest fundraisers of the year, "The Fast and the Furriest," and you can help.
Brian Wierima, the community relations coordinator, says Nanita is in need of a loving home. She just had 5 puppies in the shelter, and they are now in a foster home.
The Fast and Furriest fundraiser will take place on Saturday, April 7. It is a 5K run/1 mile run at Hammond Stadium.
On Friday, March 2, the GCHS is hosting a kick-off fundraising party. People can sign up at the event to make their own fundraising groups.
