Pet of the week: Wilder, the rabbit

LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- If you're not ready for a dog or cat, the Gulf Coast Humane Society has some pocket pets you can take home.

Wilder is a 1-year-old rabbit and is new to the Gulf Coast Humane Society. Brian Wierima, the Community Relations Coordinator, says Wilder is dog-friendly, calm and litter-trained.

The Gulf Coast Humane Society says rabbits can be lower maintenance than dogs and cats. The shelter also has another rabbit up for adoption, named Sugar.

The shelter advises that rabbits cannot be an outdoor animal because anything over 85 degrees is dangerous for them.
