LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- It's National Park and Rec month, and you can celebrate at a free, family fun day.
The William Austen Youth Center is hosting the Free Parks and Rec Fun Day on Saturday, July 14, from 9 a.m. until noon. There will be activities for kids like an inflatable slide and games, photo booth, giveaways, a scavenger hunt and more.
The Gulf Coast Humane Society will be at the event with some of their pet ambassadors. Our pets of the week are Felix, Lulu and Sofi. They are 9 to 10 week old Chihuahua mixes.
The shelter says they've had an influx of puppies and kittens in the past month. The GCHS will have up to 20 puppies and 30 kittens up for adoption this week.
Bella, who was featured on our Pet of the Week back in June, is still looking for her forever home. If you'd like to adopt a pet, contact the GCHS.
