UPDATE (11:23 AM)-- The Collier County Sheriffs Office says there were two occupants on board.

Florida Highway Patrol tweeted that no occupants were injured and no vehicles were involved.

The plane was coming from Sanford and was making its final approach to Naples Municipal Airport when it began experiencing engine failure, deputies said.

The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the incident, deputies said.

The Collier County Sheriffs Office says the southbound on-ramp to I-75 at the 107 MM (Pine Ridge Rd) is blocked.

The blockage is due to a plane that made an emergency landing on SB I-75.

Please avoid this area if possible.
