MARCO ISLAND — Marco Island Police are investigating a death after an unresponsive woman was pulled from the water.
Investigators say Marco Island Police and Fire Rescue personnel responded to a 911 call near Resident's beach.
Detectives say a Community Service Officer with the department pulled 70-year-old Petronella “Petra” Williams from the water and began CPR.
First responders provided medical attention and transported her to Physicians Regional Hospital.
Investigators say Williams died at the hospital.
Marco Island Police Detectives are working with the District Twenty Medical Examiners on-going investigation.
