A neighbor we spoke with says they heard 20 to 30 gun shots around 3:30 Wednesday morning. They also saw police pull someone out of the woods near Belmont street and they were arrested.
The Fox 4 crew at the scene saw officers with guns drawn take two men and a woman into custody from a home just after 7 a.m.
**UPDATE** (11am) -- Police say they have made an arrest at the Lora Street scene.
They say ShotSpotter alerted them of gunfire in the area at 2:52 a.m. and arrived to see four men running from the location. One of them, 23-year-old Andrew Laquan Brown, was arrested on a drug possession charge. Two others were detained with pending narcotics charges.
A search of the home revealed cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a variety of ammunition and three firearms.
There were no reported gunshot victims at the scene. This incident remains under investigation.
ROYAL PALM AVENUE SCENE:
Police were also on the scene of an investigation on Hanson Street and Royal Palm Avenue, near Fowler Street. Roads were blocked off in the area.
Police say ShotSpotter detected gunfire in the 3000 block of Royal Palm Avenue at 1:21 a.m. Officers searched a home at the scene and found no injured people. This investigation remains active.
UPDATE: Police did confirm that two men showed up at Lee Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds at approximately 1:30 a.m. Officers have interviewed the men, identified as 23-year-old Henry Leonard, Jr. and 20-year-old Demontae Hart.
