Police: Officer revives small child with CPR in Marco Island

MARCO ISLAND, Fla. -- We're working to find out more about the rescue of a child in Marco Island, thanks to the quick response of an officer.

According to Marco Island Police, an officer responded on Saturday evening to a call of a 3-year-old child who was not breathing at an apartment on Tallwood Street.

Officer Hans Schmid arrived to find the child's father performing CPR. The officer began CPR on the child, who responded and began breathing again.

The child was then transported to the hospital for further treatment.
