CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Statistically, New Year's Eve is the deadliest night to drive in America, due to increased numbers of drunk drivers on the road. But one Southwest Florida police department says they had a different experience this year.
The Cape Coral Police Department said Wednesday that their officers only made one DUI arrest on New Year's Eve in a city of nearly 200,000 residents.
And they insist that they were definitely looking for more.
So they offer a thanks to everyone who celebrated the holiday responsibly.
