CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- A 19-year-old was arrested after police found him with 12 small bags of marijuana, and say he admitted to planning to sell it at a school event.

Lucius Jones was heading to the spring football game at Cape Coral High School on Friday when Cape Coral Police found him hiding behind the Publix on Santa Barbara Boulevard. Police said Jones admitted he intended to sell the pot at the football game.

Tammy Weaver's daughter is heading to high school next year. She said hearing about Jones' alleged plan makes her want to hold the reins a little tighter.

"You think when you send your child to a school event, they're going to be safe, and you find out more and more that that's just not true," Weaver said.

Parker Herz, 21, said he appreciates Jones being up front with police.  "I think the honesty is a good thing to see from someone like that," Herz said.

Police say Jones told them he had a baby on the way and recently began selling pot to make more money.

Jones is due in court on June 19th.
