Police search for alleged kidnapper in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, FLa. — Officers are looking for a possible abductor. Fort Myers Police Department responded to the area of Six Mile Cypress Parkway and Winkler Extension in reference to a possible attempted abduction.

The incident took place on May 7, 2019, between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. off Six Mile Cypress Parkway and Winkler Extension.

Officers say they met with a Juvenile that said they were walking their dog, when a white male, wearing a white shirt with a black "Nike" check emblem, gray sweatpants, and an arm tattoo described as a "rope," "snake," or "chain" attempted to grab her. The child told police she was able to fight off the suspect and ran.
