Police search for man after he robs Cape Coral gas station

UPDATE -- Police have arrested a man they say committed the robbery. 

They say the man, Brandon Meredith, went to the store and claimed he had a gun and demanded money. Meredith was arrested yesterday afternoon. Meredith will face robbery charges.

CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police are searching for a man who robbed a Cape Coral 7 Eleven early Tuesday morning.

According to officers, the incident happened at the 7 Eleven on Cape Coral Parkway and Palm Tree Boulevard. He entered the store demanded money from a worker. 

Four in your corner saw a police search helicopter and K-9's being used to find the man. 

Officers say he told the employee that he had a gun but did not show it.

The man is described as a 5'9 white man with reddish-blond hair, wearing a long sleeve dark shirt and blue pants.

Police say he was wearing a hat over his face with eye-holes cut out.
