LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Fort Rock festival has announced that they are moving out of Fort Myers in favor of another Fort.
The festival's promoters made the announcement on Facebook Thursday. The 2018 two-day festival will be held in Fort Lauderdale, or technically Markham Park in nearby Sunrise.
The popular festival has been held on the grounds of JetBlue Park in Fort Myers since 2013, and usually draws big name hard rock and heavy metal acts.
Promoters say the new location expands the festival's capacity.
This year's lineup will be announced next month.
