FORT MYERS, Fla. -- We're getting an eyewitness report that a man held a knife to another man's throat at a truck stop off Interstate 75 early Friday morning.

It happened at the Pilot Travel Center at the Luckett Road exit.

According to our witness, the man with the knife was angry because no one would give him a ride to Tampa.  This is all according to a worker at the Pilot, Roland Decker.

He says just before 4 AM, the man came inside looking for rides, and when he couldn't get one, he went outside and starting threatening people.  Decker says when he stepped in and told the man he needed to leave, the guy ran off.

“They chased him down 75, and then they came back. An ambulance and first responder and a couple of officers. And I talked to a couple of officers, and I guess the dude tried running,” says Decker.

Four in Your Corner was the only media on the scene, and saw an ambulance leave the area near the store, with a deputy following.

We've reached out to Lee County Sheriff's Office, but have not received a response yet.
