CAPE CORAL, Fla.-- People who live in Cape Coral and surrounding areas will be able to comment on the City of Cape Corals proposal to get rid of the Chiquita Lock, during the November 19th, 2018, city council meeting.
A permit has not been issued for the lock's removal, but plans are in place to do so.
Howver, some don't want the lock to be removed. The Matlacha Civic Association says it's going to appeal the decision to remove the lock.
Today's city council meeting starts at 4:30 P.M. at Cape Coral City Hall.
