LEE COUNTY, Fla. — There will be an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly constructed Littleton Road-Kismet Parkway realignment at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, at the east end of Old Littleton Road in North Fort Myers, FL 33903.

The public is invited to attend.

The ceremony will feature brief remarks by Lee County Commissioners and other officials. Centers for Disease Control guidelines will be observed.

The Littleton Road-Kismet Parkway realignment project was a Lee Board of County Commissioners priority and a joint venture with the City of Cape Coral. The cost of about $2 million was paid through impact fees and contributions from the City of Cape Coral.

The construction project realigned Kismet Parkway and Littleton Road at NE 24th Avenue. The new Littleton Road alignment is a four-lane divided roadway with streetlights. This project also constructed a 4-foot on-road bike lane on each side of the road. There is also now a 6-foot concrete sidewalk on the north side of the new road and an 8-foot sidewalk located to the south of the new road.

The intersection of Corbett Road and Littleton Road has been replaced by a lighted two-lane roundabout.
