CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- U.S Marshalls have tracked down a man in California who is accused of robbing a Punta Gorda convenience store earlier this year.
According to the Punta Gorda Police Department, Richard Dickman was arrested Tuesday outside Irving, California.
Police say he is the man who robbed a Punta Gorda Circle K store on May 10th, 2017, where just after midnight, he entered the store on Tamiami Trail at Aqui Esta Drive, implying that he was armed with a gun and demanding that the clerk hand over all the money in the register.
After obtaining the cash, the suspect ordered the clerk to the men’s restroom and told him to remain there for at least five minutes.
Dickman was quickly identified as a suspect, but a search of his residence did not locate the suspect.
Dickman is currently being held awaiting extradition back to Charlotte County.
