BONITA SPRINGS, Fla — FOX 4 and the Salvation Army teamed up Tuesday morning for The Race for Forgotten Angels.
The event was held at Ollie's Bargain Outlet in Bonita Springs and benefits children in need in Southwest Florida.
Molina Healthcare donated $5,000 to spend.
FOX 4's Morning Anchor Amy Wegmann and Meteorologist Trent Aric joined Groovy Girls, and the Coldwell Banker Team spent the morning seeing how many angels they could shop for in a certain amount of time.
Each team started at one end of the toy section and had 10 Angel tags.
They had 10 minutes to fill as many Angels as they could.
After the race, the racers, volunteers, and staff continued to spend the remaining money on toys and clothes for forgotten Angels.
