FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Emotional moments in the court room Wednesday as the victim who says a hospital nurse raped her while she was in his care, took the stand.

We had a camera in the courtroom as the trial for Jeovanni Hechavarria continued.

Hechavarria sat taking notes, as the victim he's accused of raping at Cape Coral Hospital years ago took the stand. It was a moment almost too painful to relive.

The victim detailed the terrifying moments she says happened in 2016. She didn't want to be shown on camera, but says Hechavarria was her night nurse at the time.

And she says after administering medication that made her feel woozy, he started doing things that weren't normal for a nurse to do. “He did my vitals, and when he did the front he went down further than I've ever had done.”

Fighting off tears, it's what happened later she says was even more disturbing. She says he came over to the side of her bed where there was no medical equipment.

“He took off my boxers and underwear…went like this with his boxers and dropped them and I kept begging him ‘no, please don't.’ And that's when he threatened me and said he'd come after me, and plus he'd be my nurse the next night and do even worse to me.”

It's at that moment she says he raped her. Reliving the details was so difficult the judge allowed her to take a break between testimony.

At one point she was asked if she screamed. "No, I couldn't. He had his hand on my mouth and was threatening me. His left hand was on my mouth throughout the whole thing."

The trial for this case will continue Thursday and is expected to last a couple more days.
