CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- A North Port man was arrested over the weekend after reportedly doing donuts on Burnt Store Road and intentionally ramming another vehicle twice.

26-year-old Shazam Juman is facing charges of Aggravated Assault With Deadly weapon, DUI, DUI With Property Damage, Reckless Driving, and Criminal Mischief.

According to Cape Coral Police, Juman was driving a white pickup truck just before 11 p.m. Saturday when he recklessly pulled out onto Burnt Store Road from the Yucca Pens area in NW Cape.

Juman was doing donuts on the roadway and stopping traffic in both directions before accelerating directly toward an SUV and crashing into it. Juman then reportedly backed up and drove forward into the SUV again.

The white pickup was later pulled over near the intersection of Burnt Store Road and Tropicana Parkway, where officers say Juman reeked of alcohol and showed signs of impairment. He refused to submit a breath test at the scene.

This wasn’t the first time Juman was accused of crashing into cars on purpose. Records from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s show he reversed into another woman’s car in the McDonald’s parking lot on Tamiami Trail and Harbor Blvd. in January.

In a report one witness told police, “…she then saw the truck reverse back into the victim’s vehicle several times before fleeing the scene”

Sallie Lumsden goes to that Mcdonald’s on a regular basis and said Juman needs more than jail time. He needs his license taken away.

“He could seriously hurt people. My husband was hurt in a wreck five years ago, and he’s in a wheelchair as a result of it,” she said.

Juman was charged with aggravated assault without intent to kill and DUI. His bond was set $5,750.

The two occupants of the SUV gave statements that they felt like they were going to be killed by the driver of the truck.
