FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) reports that a record number of passengers passed through their gates last month, and overall traffic is up so far this year.
They say that more than 526,000 passengers traveled through the airport in August 2019, an increase of 5.1% over 2018.
Year to date, passenger traffic is up 8.4% compared to last year.
The top carriers last month include Delta Air Lines (137,296 passengers traveling to and from Fort Myers), American (100,365), Southwest (91,766), JetBlue (62,022) and United (45,040).
