FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Minnesota Twins play the Boston Red Sox today at 1:05 pm at Hammond Stadium and there are still tickets available. Minnesota has a winning record of 2-1 while Boston is 1-2 in this young spring training season. There are new COVID guidelines that people need to know if planning to attend any spring training game.
Masks are required for anyone age 2 and over during the entire time you're in the stadium whether it be walking around or sitting in your seat. Masks must cover both nose and mouth.
The only exception will be during eating and drinking in your seat and no outside food and drink are allowed. All guests are required to social distance when moving around the ballpark. No autographs are allowed from players or coaches on the field before, during, and after the game.
The weather could be an issue this afternoon as a cold front will be moving through southwest Florida. A broken line of rain is expected to move through Lee county between 1 and 2 pm.
Rain will move through quickly and not add up to much in the rain gauge so there may be a brief delay with any rain that does arrive. It will also be breezy throughout the afternoon, but temperatures will be comfortable, in the mid to upper 70s through this afternoon.
