FORT MYERS, Fla. — The man facing charges in the Zombiecon shooting in Downtown Fort Myers was back in court.

A judge heard remaining motions from Jose Bonilla's defense and state prosecutors who went back and forth on the motion to suppress statements.

The defense claims Bonilla's Miranda Rights were not read to him.

However, the state claims Bonilla was read his Miranda Rights before and knew how to waive it.

Detectives say in 2015, Bonilla shot into a crowd of twenty thousand people.

Tyrell Taylor was killed, and several others were injured.

The judge is considering the motion and should decide by Monday, which is when Bonilla's trial is expected to start.
