CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- We're more about learning a man who reportedly shot a dog after he says it attacked his own dog.
According to a Cape Coral Police incident report, it happened Monday on Southwest 16th Terrace in Cape Coral.
A man, David Harner, says he was about to walk his dog when three dogs charged at him and his dog. He says only one of the three dogs, a pit bull, attacked his dog, so he shot it.
The bullet only grazed the dog. Then the three dogs ran back to their home.
Officers say when they spoke to the three dog's owners. They said the dogs were in the garage and must have opened the garage door.
The officer then took the dog who attacked the other dog to the vet to get its wounds treated. The dog was put in a 10-day home quarantine.
The dog that was attacked did not have any wounds.
