LEHIGH ACRES, Fla -- An anonymous donor has increased the reward for anyone who has information on the hit and run crash involving a 13-year-old Lehigh teen. The donor has donated $2000 bringing the total reward up to $3000.
Thirteen-year-old Eric Pagan was walking home on Richmond Avenue around 8:30 p.m. on August 25th when an unknown driver struck the teen, knocking him into a water filled ditch nearby. A family member happened to be driving in the area and found him. Pagan was transported to a hospital with critical injuries, including broken bones. He is now in stable condition.
“There are a lot of people in our community who care about Eric and his family and want to see justice served,” said Trish Routte, Crime Stoppers Coordinator. “While this young man is in a hospital room trying to recover from his injuries, the driver is walking around without consequences. We are all dedicated to ensure that the person responsible for Eric’s injuries is identified and found quickly.”
Anyone with information on the hit and run is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All caller will remain anonymous and will be eligible for the cash reward of $3000.
