CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — The Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers has announced an increase in the award for a Port Charlotte Teen who was found deceased in 2019.

Gage Jackson went missing in March of 2019. Family and friends knew something was wrong when Jackson did not show up to work.

About a week later, a fisherman found his body floating in Prairie Creek.

In October, Fox 4 tried to attain the autopsy report to help shed some light on what happened, but the Charlotte County Medical Examiner’s Office said they couldn’t release it because of the ongoing investigation.

An anonymous donor donated a $50,000 reward for tips that lead to an arrest, and Crime Stoppers is offering $3,000.

Anyone with information on the death investigation of Gage Jackson is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
