Riverdale and Bloomingdale faced off in the first round of high school football playoffs this evening. Both teams has fans packing the stands and cheering them on. The teams played hard defensively but it was Bloomingdale who demonstrated offensive strength.
Bloomingdale scored first with a touchdown and a two point conversion. Riverdale answered almost immediately scoring a touchdown and conversion as well.
By the their quarter the score was 22-8 Bloomingdale leading.
When the Bloomingdale's head coach spoke with FOX 4 he said he's "proud of his team and their effort to stay focused." He says the team was aiming to win their first playoff game ever.
Bloomingdale ran away with an easy win: 45-8.
