PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- Santa's already spreading Christmas joy in Southwest Florida. Metro Diner in Port Charlotte hosted Dinner with Santa on Sunday.
Guests took pictures with jolly old St. Nick, and the kids were quite busy making reindeer food for Christmas Eve!
Sunday's event benefited Caleb's Crusade, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping families facing the financial challenges of childhood cancer.
The diner says helping out is important to their company. "We pick charities that are local to each one of the diners. Our motto is ‘we are where the locals eat’, so we want to become very involved with the communities. If we can raise $300 or $1,000, anything we can give back helps a lot," said Terri Sherman of Metro Diner.
10% of Sunday's purchases directly benefitted Caleb's Crusade.
