Second class of armed volunteers graduate in Hendry Co.

HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. — The second class of volunteers has graduated from the "Aaron Feis Guardian Program", and are ready to protect Hendry County Schools.

The volunteers are school guardians who cannot arrest anyone, but can carry a firearm, in case of an active shooting situation.

The volunteers have to complete 144 hours of firearm training, pass a psychological evaluation and have a valid concealed firearm license.
