The Lee County Sheriff's Office says a man stabbed a dog, beat the animal and placed it in the oven. Deputies conducted a well-being check at a residence in Lehigh Acres on Friday. Authorities got information about the suspect, Vicasso Lara threatening people at a resident located in the 100 block of East 11-th Street, where Lara allegedly killed his dog.
When deputies got there, they observed several spots of blood outside the resident and bloody footprints near the entrance of the house. Deputies discovered the body of a dog in the kitchen oven, which had been turned to its highest setting. Investigators say Lara stabbed the dog numerous times and beat the animal before placing it in the oven.
Deputies booked Lara to the Lee County Jail, where he is being held without bond, pending his initial court appearance.
