PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- Investigators are looking for a man who claimed to be a law enforcement officer in order to steal iPads from a Charlotte County Walmart.
It happened Monday at the store located on Murdock Circle in Port Charlotte.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, the suspect identified himself as law enforcement and displayed a Charlotte County Sheriff's Office business card before using a fake receipt to steal four iPads.
The suspect left the scene driving a late model Chevrolet Tahoe SUV.
Investigators say this man has targeted other Walmart's in the area.
Anybody who knows the identity of this suspect is urged to call the sheriff's office and ask for Detective Joshua Bailey.
