State Fire Marshal investigating two fires in a Fort Myers hotel

UPDATE: Hotel staff confirmed that two fires broke out earlier this morning. 

There was a fire in a third floor common area, and another in a stairwell on the second floor. 

The wall and couch in the common area were damaged by the fire. 

Guests were evacuated from those areas.

No one was injured. 

The fire marshal is investigating both incidents. 

A can of accelerant was found next to the couch in the common area.

The State Fire Marshal was called to the scene of a fire at a Fort Myers hotel early Wednesday morning. 

This happened just before 1 a.m. at Allure Suites 9200 College Parkway. 

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is not known.
