LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The State of Florida will move forward with charges against former Fort Myers Police Captain Jay Rodriguez.
Fox 4 got our hands-on court documents, showing the state will take Rodriguez to trial on misconduct, perjury, and prostitution charges.
This is stemming from a 2013 undercover sting in which he was seen on camera engaging in a sex act with a prostitute.
He's accused of lying about it during an internal investigation.
If convicted, Rodriguez will lose the city's contribution to his pension.
