Strong winds cause damage to house in South Fort Myers

SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Strong winds in South Fort Myers caused extensive damage to a home on Briar Ridge Circle. 

Part of the pool cage collapsed and fell into the pool, trees in the area were also ripped from the ground and split in half. 

At points in the afternoon, winds reached anywhere from 45-50 mile per hour, which can cause extensive damage.
