CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- A 15-year-old boy, whom we are not identifying due to being a minor, was arrested on felony charges of False Report Planting a Bomb WMD on State owned Property. Investigators said the Charlotte teenager made violent threats at The Academy School twice this month.

On Tuesday, students who attend The Academy describe the classmate as always keeping to himself.  "He didn't really talk to anybody, just did his work and left when school was over," said Samantha Brenner.

But on Tuesday, Brenner said the student was the talk of school.

Deputies said the 15-year-old suspect is responsible for writing two threats within two weeks on bathroom walls on campus. The first writing was found on April 6th.

"They checked the video in the hallway, they couldn't really get it, then two days later on the wall was written, 'chill out everyone this was just a joke,'" said Charlotte County School District spokesperson Mike Riley.

On Monday, a student found another threat written on the bathroom wall. This one promised to "shoot up" the school on April 22nd, a Saturday. That's when the sheriff's office stepped in.

"In today's society you can't neglect something like this you always have to air on the side of caution," said Riley.

Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies questioned the student. Investigators said he admitted to writing the threats and gave them the pens he used to write them. The boy was arrested and transported to Charlotte County Jail without incident on Monday and released to home detention.
