LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Some Southwest Florida students are witnessing history in the making this week while in Washington DC.
A group of students from several schools made the trip to DC
Schools represented there were Island Coast High, Lehigh Senior, Fort Myers High, Dunbar High, Florida Southwestern Collegiate High School, as well as some home schooled students. They're all there with local activist Anthony Thomas and another chaperone. Some non-partisan civic groups put the money up to allow these students to witness history.
Fox 4's Patrick Nolan spoke online with one student from Florida Southwestern Collegiate High School and asked him about what they were seeing there as they entered the Senate chambers during impeachment trial proceedings.
