CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Just because school is out for summer, it doesn't mean lunch lines are ending.

The Lee County School District is teaming up with the Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Fun-Mobile to bring a little fun and a lot of nutritious food to kids and teens.

Jim Jeffers Park is just one of a 100 locations throughout the county you can pick up a packed lunch.  They're also packing fun activities to keep you and your kids entertained.

The meals are free, and there's no income or registration requirements.

"You don't have to worry about packing a lunch in the morning. We're here for you, we're going to give your kids lunch, and it's nutritious," says Breanna Gustafson of the Lee County School District.

"When you see the little children's faces and they're so excited to get the meal.  We like to come out to sites like this and meet with the children and talk to them. It's just a really rewarding program," says coordinator Lorina Woods.

The free meals program runs through July 27th.
