Suspect sought for grabbing a woman's purse in convenience store parking lot

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Detectives are asking for the public's help identifying a man accused of stealing a woman's purse while she was parked at a Fort Myers convenience store.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, on March 13, 2019, the suspect pictured here approached a vehicle parked in front of the Wawa store on S. Cleveleand Avenue near College Parkway, opened the passenger door, and grabbed a purse.

The two struggled over the purse, but the man took control of it and fled on foot.

He was possibly picked up by a dark gray, four door extended cab pickup truck in the area.
