'No suspicious items' found following bomb threat reports at Lee County Justice Center

UPDATE at 12:54p:

The Lee County Sheriff's Office says sweeping has been completed, and no suspicious items were located.
First responders are clearing the scene.
Court employees are being allowed back into the building, and roads have reopened.

The Southwest Florida Regional Bomb squad and K-9 units are actively sweeping of the Lee County Justice Center, LCSO says.

LCSO says no suspicious items have been located.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office says the bomb squad is on scene at the Lee County Justice Center in downtown Fort Myers.

Earlier today, the Fort Myers Police Department said the center was evacuated following "suspicious circumstances".

Court officials say they received the evacuation order at 9:20 a.m.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd has closed between 41 and Monroe Street.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is leading an investigation, and the Fort Myers Police Department is assisting.
