NAPLES, Fla. -- A Naples teen is recovering from serious injuries after a collision with a pickup truck on Tamiami Trail Monday morning.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 14-year-old Vu Tran was crossing Tamiami Trail at the intersection with Southwest Boulevard at 6:26 a.m. Monday.
That's when deputies say he rode his bike into the path of a westbound pickup truck. The truck hit the boy's left side.
Tran was taken to NCH Baker Hospital Downtown with serious injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
