ESTERO, Fla. — The Harlem Globetrotters will play at Hertz Arena on Dec 9 as part of their 2019 Fan Powered World Tour.
Player 'El Gato' Melendez is the first Puerto Rican-born player on the team. He played for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Heel Tar Heels, where he went to the Final Four in the NCAA Tournament twice during his collegiate career.
He then went on to play in the Euro League before joining the Harlem Globetrotters.
