FORT MYERS, Fl. — The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Fort Myers Sunday morning, damaging over 100 mobile homes alone. 30 of those homes are completely destroyed.
The tornado was traveling at 118 mph and started this morning around 7:35 a.m and ended at 7:40 a.m. There are residencies still without power.
At least five tornadoes hit Southwest Florida Sunday, ranging between EF-0 to EF-2 in intensity.
