Thieves target local store for the second time

Posted

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Victoria's Secret at Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers was targeted for the second time in two weeks.

An employee told Lee County deputies that at around 6:15 p.m. on Monday, four to five women and one man came into the store and browsed around.

Deputies say an employee recognized one of the women, from when she stole from the store last week.

They say after looking around the store for 15 minutes, the group grabbed clothing off the racks, and filled about 10 shopping bags of items worth around $4,000.

Deputies say the group then ran out of the store and went into an older four door sedan parked outside.

Last week, four people stole over $3,000 worth of items at the same store, and left in a maroon Nissan Sentra.
