Traffic stop leads to arrest for Cocaine, Painkillers and Steroids

CAPE CORAL, Fla. --- A traffic stop for speeding leads to the arrest of a Cape Coral man on numerous drug charges on Sunday, 

According to Cape Coral Police the driver, Edward Mitchell Jr., was speeding in a silver Cadillac on the 600 block of Cape Coral Parkway East.

A K-9 officer and his K-9 arrived on the scene and an open-air sniff was conducted and alerted officers to the presence of drugs, 

Officers found cocaine, prescription painkillers and anabolic steroids in the trunk of the car and arrested Mitchell. 

Mitchell was placed under arrest and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance without prescription and possession of a vehicle for the purpose of selling drugs, 

Mitchell was transported to the Lee County Jail.
